This poem so clearly shows that a political government may neglect shamelessly their people in poverty, but the the beauty of nature in each person lives and breathes strong from the depts of their souls--and that can not be taken away by the rich in high places. As usual the images in your poems are so vivid--a very good reading. Thank you for sharing this.

Beautifully written and very insightful.  I see the vacant eyes, hungry bodies, oppression.  Very moving.  It will make me think when I eat my food or drink my "so called" clean water.  Now you have me thinking.  Hugs, Victoria

Admist riches and enormous growth and nuclear nation and all that, many still live on streets surviving on one meal and unhealthy, unhygienic conditions. Paints a picture about the differences and inequalities of human society very well.

well written, poverty should be non-exsistant in this day and age no matter what country. As for clean water, people should always have access to that. It's sad, greed from other countries is what makes poverty. Very heartfelt poem.  Yellow Star Certificate Check

Everyones right in this world should be to have clean fresh water. Unfortunately it isn't the case in some parts of the world. Reading this I can feel strong emotions from you, and I get the feeling there is an other mesage in this poem.
The word that seems to stand out to me is 'constraint' perhaps the people feel repressed or restricted of their natural feelings? They live in the city of joy ,but are without the most basic human needs.  Wonderful write it really is very powerful!
